Course Description: 

Personal and Social Competence

Emotional intelligence is considered a key competence for success and satisfaction. Fortunately, it can be trained and developed throughout life.

The course can significantly accelerate the development process, as it invites you to analyze your personal behavioural patterns and discard detrimental ways of thinking and behaving in order to initiate positive changes.

Course aims: 
  • Emotional Intelligence – Concept (Goleman) and effects of high EQ
  • Self-Awareness – Monitoring emotions, exercising mindfulness
  • Self-Analysis – Transactional Analysis (TA) personality model, personal Egogram
  • Script-Analysis – Socialization, cultural standards, personal beliefs and values, injunctions and drivers, unconscious life scripts
  • Self-Management – Controlling and influencing feelings, strengthening self-confidence and self-motivation
  • Social Awareness and Empathy – Empathizing with others, decoding non-verbal signals, considering social context
  • Relationship Management – Communication model (TA), avoiding misunderstanding, changing "ego states", addressing problems, preventing conflicts
  • Development Opportunities – Implementing findings by creating routines
Teaching methods: 

Interactive lecture, discussions, small group exercises, self-reflection exercises.

Beatrix Stahlberger is a psychologist with a further qualification in systemic transactional analysis. She has been working as a lecturer, trainer and coach in her own training institute in Düsseldorf since 1998. She conducts seminars and workshops for organizations and companies from a wide range of industries. Additionally, she also coaches private individuals on professional and personal topics.
