Based on the DFG Code of Conduct “Guidelines for Safeguarding Good Scientific Practice” from 2019 and with reference to the DFG memorandum from 2013, participants are taught the rules of good scientific practice and their appropriate implementation in everyday research. Ways of responsible interaction in research are presented in order to teach participants to recognize questionable scientific practice at an early stage and thus avoid scientific misconduct.
Specific aspects of research ethics are discussed, and participants are encouraged to reflect their values and attitudes as scientists. Strategies for handling possible conflict situations in everyday research are discussed, and questions and ambiguities from the respective fields of activity could be discussed.
- Knowledge and implementation of the GSP rules in everyday research
- Strengthening of one's own possibilities for avoiding scientific misconduct
- Skills in the interaction with conflict situations
