The goal of this workshop is to develop a convincing 10-slide-presentation of your own research findings, e.g. for a conference, a colloquium or the disputation of your doctoral thesis.
- Structuring complex information logically
- Designing easy-to-understand slides and stories
- Applying all techniques to own examples
After a quick theoretical introduction, the training consists of practical exercises with real slides and storylines from the participants' everyday academic work.

Laptop/tablet with stable internet connection, microphone, webcam, Zoom (in most cases).
Optionally, you send an already existing presentation to the trainer at markus.burger(at)slidewriting.com. He will prepare written, confidential feedback.
This training focuses on the logical thinking behind convincing slides and stories, not on the use of software like PowerPoint or OpenOffice. The methods taught in this training can be used for governmental or commercial work.
- The course was very clear. Every slide, every explanation was on point. In addition, we could work in groups and alone on different task and deepen the knowledge.

Dr. Markus Burger holds a B.A. and M.Sc. in quantitative social sciences from Oxford University. He got a PhD in Management from the Free University of Berlin, where he was also a Post-Doc. He worked as a management consultant for the Boston Consulting Group (BCG). Today, he teaches slidewriting and storylining at international companies and research institutes.
