Course Description: 

This immunology crash course is intended to bring all PhD students on the same knowledge level in immunology for the graduate school RTG 2668 and is also open to all other PhD students - possibly as a repetitorium prior their PhD examen.
The course is following the Abbas Textbook.

Course aims: 

Wissen: 
Verständnis der grundlegenden Konzepte und Mechanismen des Immunsystems; Kenntnis der zentralen Technologien und Schlüsselversuche in der Immunologie; Erkennen der Relevanz des Immunsystems für verschiedene Krankheitsprozesse.

Fertigkeiten:
Kritische Analyse und Interpretation immunologischer Daten; Theorie zu experimentellen Techniken zur Untersuchung des Immunsystems; Entwichlung und Präsentation eigener Forschungsfragen in der Immunologie.

Haltung: 
Förderung von wissenschaftlicher Neugier und Kreativität; Werschätzung der interdisziplinären Zusammenarbeit; Entwicklung eines ethischen Bewusstscheins für Forschung und Praxis in der Immunologie.
