Introduction to the course topics:

Do you sometimes struggle with consistently approaching upcoming tasks or decisions for the next professional and private steps?
This course offers the chance to get to know the most important orientation factors for complex life and career planning: your own strengths & values as well as lasting ideas about your own life. It uses concrete exercises on talent analysis, prioritization, values reflection and work-life balance.
It summarizes the findings of all exercises in a first draft of a so-called "life statement", with which future decisions about life and career can be made more easily.

Course aims:

  • Awareness of strengths and values
  • Ability to prioritize
  • Consistent target orientation

Teaching methods: Short descriptive thematic inputs, self-reflection, exchange in small groups, discussion rounds, experience-oriented & interactive exercises on self-perception and perception of others, analysis of life paths of others, collegial counseling.

This course fits doctoral candidates in the following phase: at the beginning of the doctorate │ during the doctorate │ at the end of the doctorate
