Using R for Statistical Data Analysis (online) | 25.06.2021 09:00 - 17:00 (Fri) | online | Dr. Stephan Haug |
In this learning-by-doing course, doctoral candidates will receive an introduction on how to use R for statistical data analysis.
Topics:
- introduction to R and the RStudio IDE
- import/export data
- data management using dplyr
- visualisation using ggplot2
- basic statistical analyses in R
- introduction to regression analysis in R
In addition the course will show how to do reproducible research by using R. Therefore, we will use the knitr (https://yihui.name/knitr/) and rmarkdown (https://rmarkdown.rstudio.com/) package.
Requirements:
The course requires that everyone already has some very basic R knowledge, i.e. knowledge about object types like vectors, data frames and lists. One can gain such basic knowledge with the interactive tutorial https://rstudio.cloud/learn/primers/1.2. In addition, you have to be able to install R packages.
Please make sure that you have installed R, RStudio (see https://www.rstudio.com/) and the tidyverse package (see https://www.tidyverse.org/) prior to the course.
This course will be conducted online.
Technical requirements: Access to internet, laptop, camera, microphone, zoom (potentially).
Your email address will be forwarded to the trainer for organizational reasons.
