Proficiency in public speaking is a key factor in achieving recognition in your scientific community. Nowadays, more and more informal talks, lectures and conferences are being held online. Being able to present yourself and your results convincingly, you can draw attention to your work and hence pave the way to scientific exchange or collaboration, and even career opportunities. To achieve this, thorough preparation and sufficient practice are crucial.
This training is aimed at participants who have had only limited experience at online or offline conferences so far. In the first part of this training, you will learn the basics for scientific presentations as well as how to deal with the special challenges of online presentations. In the second part you will prepare a short online presentation and give it as an exercise to get detailed feedback.
