Introduction to the course topics:

Leadership is relational: To lead people we need to connect with them. Emotional intelligence is the huge need for leaders in a more and more digitalized world. You will get to know different tools to understand your own personality (including the NEO Personality test), learn how to better connect and lead different people, how to set healthy boundaries, and also how to have difficult conversations we sometimes tend to avoid.

Course aims:

• Leading others: Growing in your emotional intelligence
• Leading others: How to enjoy difficult conversations
• Leading others: How to set healthy boundaries

Teaching methods:

The course is very interactive with working in group discussions, times of personal reflection, working with models, case studies, teaching and a personal coaching time with each doctoral candidate.

Information about the trainers:

As a passionate motorcyclist, Christian A. Herbst knows how to take the windy roads in life and what to do, when the going gets tough. His focus is and was always on people and therefore he consequently developed his coaching and teaching skills. He led an international school for leadership development and holds a degree in solution focused short therapy. He trained coaches at the Swiss Coaching School and brings more than 25 years of experience as a leader, speaker, coach and trainer. In the last years, he focused more and more on Leadership Development and with the “People and Culture Group”, he supports leaders and organizations in the whole employee lifecycle. He loves helping people make the necessary changes for growth in their businesses or in their lives.

Micha Brück graduated from TUM in 1997 as an agricultural engineer. He loves working with people and therefore trained to become a certified counselor. Since the late 1990´s, he serves as a minister in Zürich and Munich. In his coaching and teaching, he focuses on personality development and relational leadership. Micha Brück works with experienced leaders and coach leadership teams. Furthermore, he serves as the executive director at the EBS, an international Christian school with focus on interpersonal relationships, family life and leadership skills. He loves working with young leaders and serves as academical director and trainer at the ESOM, a European school to train next generation leaders. He is married for 23 years and proud father of two grown up children. In his free time, he is a passionate motorcyclist, loves to play the guitar and spend time with friends.
