Module 2, Course 4: Decision Making - Crucial Factors, Processes and Approaches (July 5-6-8-12, 2021)

Making decisions is part of our daily life routine. Some decisions are easier to make
than others – decisions concerning our own work, further career, family, etc. are usually
rather difficult.

In this workshop, we will discuss important components when making decisions. How
much are subconscious factors involved? Are they based on rational or emotional thinking?
How happy are we with the outcome? We will analyze our own decision making
process, get to know different approaches and tools in decision making, and we will
apply these in our own context.

The aim of the training is to reflect on one’s own decision making processes and principles
and to prepare participants for future self-confi dent decision making.
To achieve this goal, we will work with a mix of theoretical input, case studies, discussions
and group work, all with a strong focus on the relevance for your professional
and daily life.

After this workshop you will
• be able to analyze your thinking process based on situations from your
professional work and every day life
• know the aspects infl uencing on the (un)conscious level of your thinking process
• know strategies how to deal with crucial decisions.

Maria Prahl will conduct this course in English.

Maria Prahl, M.A. studied Human Resource Development, Eastern European History and Intercultural Communication. She works since 2004 as trainer and facilitator in universities, foundations and companies. She completed a three-year education in training and facilitation. Her main focus in training lies in international cooperation and communication in teams, intercultural teaching styles, Diversity Management and Train-the-Trainer.
